Your body doesn’t feel right.
You have this persistent pain or discomfort in your body, and nothing explains it. It feels chaotic, unsafe, anxious, or busy.
Or maybe you barely even notice that you have a body at all. Whatever the case, you feel lost for answers.
There is no medical explanation for how your body feels, and you begin to think it is all in your head.
There is an answer.
There is an inextricable link between thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations.
Chronic pain and discomfort can be explained by a history of experiencing stressful or traumatic events.
Whether you have a history of prolonged exposure to trauma, abuse, or stress or can identify a particular event that was the onset of your symptoms, our therapists are skilled and able to explore them with you.
Somatic Experiencing ™(SE) helps you feel safe in your body again.
SE™ is a therapeutic approach that assists a client in resolving trauma, relieving chronic stress and pain, moving through stuck stress responses (fight, flight, and freeze), and much more.
This highly effective approach focuses on the nervous system and how our body experiences and responds to life.
SE™ is a very gentle and highly effective therapeutic modality. With the tender guidance of a therapist trained in SE™, a client can expect to engage with a painful experience, track how their body feels the experience, and notice as their system naturally releases the discomfort and moves toward a more settled and positive state.
For some people, SE™ can feel very foreign and confusing. That’s ok! We can guide you through building a deeper connection to your body and will help you learn how to describe WHAT your body feels, which can be a little trickier than allowing you to explain HOW you feel inside.
Find comfort in and connection with your body.
SE™ provides a holistic approach to wellness designed to create a connection with your mind and body. Many of our clients benefit from this form of therapy.
Please call, email, text, or complete the contact form. We will respond promptly.
We offer a free 15-minute phone consultation designed to gain an appreciation of your needs and help connect you with the most suitable therapist.
